Vintage National Bulldog Coil Tattoo Machine 1 Off Rebuild.
Old school National Rebuild tattoo machine shader in excellent used condition. It’s easily one of my favorite coil machines that I have, it runs like a champ and it’ll drive whatever needle groupings you’d want to use. It’ll come with a copper contact screw that was on it when I bought it, the vintage og custom National set that work great, and the vintage 10 wrap Dennis Dwyer coils that I plucked off an old deluxe rebuild. This machine belonged to Don Parret from the now closed down Renaissance Ink in Springfield, Missouri. It was built by Joe Mcviegh In the 90s I believe, but it could have been rebuilt in the early 2000s I’m not sure. I know Don bought it in the early 2000s. The vintage nickel brass ( I’m pretty sure it’s brass, could be steel but it has a brass color when you look into the contact tap) front binding post, nickel brass Kaplan contact screw, vintage iron A bar, vintage lightly used spring set, and Dwyer coils were all added and not original. The rear brass binding posts, hardware, copper contact screw, and vise nut are og. The old Dwyer coils are in excellent condition and are fairly lightly used, they just needed a cleaning, might be a little wear on the back of the prism wrap but they look great. Not sure who made the front binding post, I got it with a bunch of old American coil parts. This American Beauty is tuned and ready to work, it runs flawlessly with no performance issues at all and very little cosmetic wear all together. The frame is a 90s cast iron National swing gate bulldog that’s been modified to have a pinch vise like the Eagle frame, it has a hammered surface with an oil quenched and waxed finish.
