The
Sun-Kraft Wireless Cold-Quartz Ultraviolet Ray Health Lamp
is a cold quartz mercury-vapour lamp, invented by
Frank Furedy
and originally sold through Sun-Kraft, Inc., for use in
ultraviolet light therapy
.
These Sun Kraft lamps were sold for home use and supposedly helped to cure a wide variety of undesirable skin conditions and other ailments.
Bathing in the radiation of the Sun-Kraft UV lamp was promoted as a treatment for "head colds, discomfort caused by sinus pains, rheumatism, arthritis,
psoriasis, neuritis, eczema, acne and athlete's foot
," in addition to "clearing up skin ailments, such as eczema, acne, athlete's foot, and ring worm," and promoting healthy skin and hair.
